Replacing a missing tooth with a dental implant is a meticulous procedure that requires careful planning and medical expertise. Here are the main steps in the process of inserting a dental implant at the clinic Swiss Ecodent:

During the first visit, our specialist implantologist will perform a detailed consultation and establish a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
We will realize a CBCT in-house to assess the volume and quality of the bone in the anatomical region required for the implant. If the bone volume is insufficient, a bone addition or other adjuvant procedures to ensure optimal conditions for implant insertion.
If the 3D analysis confirms that there is enough bone, the implantologist will insert the dental implant under the local anesthesia. This procedure is carried out in the established area and the implant will be precisely placed to ensure proper integration.
After the implant is inserted, a healing period follows:
- For implants Straumann, Healing takes between 1 and 3 months.
- For implants MIS, During this time, the dental implant integrates into the jawbone, a process known as osseointegrate.
Once healing is complete, the next step is to prosthetic work - This can be a dental crown, bridge or denture, depending on the functional and aesthetic needs of the patient.
