How do we choose the right type of dental implant?
What happens after dental implant insertion?
After the intervention, you will receive an instruction guide providing detailed recommendations to ensure optimal recovery and correct implant integration.
How much does a dental implant cost?
- Bone volume and possible need for bone addition or sinus lift.
- Type of implant and method of prosthetic fixation.
Each case is unique, After a full assessment, you will be offered a personalized treatment plan optimized to achieve a high-quality result.

Replacing a missing tooth with a dental implant is a meticulous procedure that requires careful planning and medical expertise. Here are the main steps in the process of inserting a dental implant at the clinic Swiss Ecodent:

During the first visit, our specialist implantologist will perform a detailed consultation and establish a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
We will realize an in-house CBCT to assess the volume and quality of the bone in the anatomical region required for the implant. If the bone volume is insufficient, a bone addition or other adjuvant procedures to ensure optimal conditions for implant insertion.
If the 3D analysis confirms that there is enough bone, the implantologist will insert the dental implant under the local anesthesia. This procedure is carried out in the established area and the implant will be precisely placed to ensure proper integration.
After the implant is inserted, a healing period follows:
- For implants implants, Healing takes between 1 and 3 months.
- For implants MIS implants, During this time, the dental implant integrates into the jawbone, a process known as osseointegration.
Once healing is complete, the next step is the prosthetic stage - This can be a dental crown, bridge or denture, depending on the functional and aesthetic needs of the patient.
1. Initial consultation and full investigations
We perform a detailed clinical examination together with modern imaging investigations:
- Panoramic X-ray (OPG)
- digital intraoral scan (for accurate study models)
- cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) - 3D digital radiology
This information allows us to fully assess the bone and adjacent structures.
2. Detailed computerized digital planning
With the help of specialized software we analyze 3D images and determine the ideal position of each implant so that the result is predictable, aesthetic and functional.
3. Temporary prosthetic work
We prepare the temporary elements (temporary crowns or bridges) in advance, which can be used immediately after the implants are inserted (in selected cases).
4. Inserting implants
The surgical procedure is performed in two main ways:
- Conventional technique (with lambou)
- Digital Guided Technique - using customized surgical guide/template, made according to 3D digital planning (more precise, minimally invasive, faster recovery)
5. Osseointegration and healing period
The implant integrates naturally into the bone (a process called osseointegration). The length of this period varies depending on the bone quality and the protocol chosen.
6. The prosthetic loading stage (fitting of final crowns)
There are several possibilities, depending on the clinical situation:
- Temporary immediate immediate loading - if the density and quantity of bone allow, we mount functional temporaries on the day of implant insertion
- Early loading - The final crown is fitted after about 1 month (depending on the type of implant and possible bone additions)
- Delayed loading (standard) - the definitive crown is fitted after 3-6 months healing (common in cases of sinus lift, significant bone augmentation or low bone density)
All decisions are personalized and transparently discussed with the patient at the planning stage.
